five days
1. FIVE DAYS LEFT 'TILL THE SUN SETS
(And I am still in bed)
It's been a good year for the brain dead
Everyone got what they asked for
But my wishes were too meager
I should have asked for more
As my sleep deprives me from my work
I can't get anything done
Still I got what I asked for
I only wanted a little sun
FOUR DAYS 'TILL RAIN COMES
(And I'm still in bed)
2. THREE DAYS BEFORE I GET SHOT IN MY HEAD
(And I am still in my bed)
Listen, I hear a storm coming
Don't let the sun get away
Send the clouds back to where they came from
Let me have one more dreamy day
'Cause when the rain reaches my castle in the sky
It will be too late to save the rocks from falling
I'd wake up and realize where I am
And I can hear the cops calling
TWO DAYS LEFT BEFORE I GET STABBED IN THE CHEST
(And I am still in my bed)
3. ONE DAY LEFT TO MAKE UP AND BREAK UP
(I hide under my bed)
As I can hear the footsteps
slowly but surely closing in
I make my way back to where I came from
To end where I can win
The memories of whom I loved
The departed, are now gone
When I left them so sweetly sleeping
I didn't know what I had done
They kicked in my door
And I came to my senses
I flew out the window
And left when the summer did
letters from a friend
one night I talked to a friend
we were in a bar and there were some girls
sitting all by themselves at the next table
I told him, I said
'hey man, how 'bout them?'
he said 'ah screw them, I got my own mind to burn'
'I ain't needing no heartless old cow to sicken up my life'
so I replied in an orderly fashion
'well, that just ain't right. or perhaps it is'
'sure is', my friend said
so we ordered ourselves a couple more drinks
after two more bottles down the old drainpipes
the girls were still sitting there
one of 'em sometimes nudged in our general direction
so I started talking to my friend again
I told him, I said
'they do look awfully lonely up there'
and he said 'if we'd go up there and buy them drinks
we'd all look awfully lonely up there'
'there just ain't nothing to discuss with them'
so we ordered ourselves a couple more drinks
later that night we happened to bump into one of the girls
making our ways to the toilet to let off some of the proverbial steam
it seemed she had had too much to drink
and I told my friend, I said
'just look at her, I think I'm falling in love'
and my friend said 'well then why don't you propose'
so I replied
'that just won't be right. or perhaps it will'
so we ordered her a couple more drinks
at our marriage my best friend was also my best man
and he said to me, he said
'look, I'm happy for you'
and I guessed I looked happy, too
we all had lots to drink that day
at 29 my wife whats-her-name died
I wasn't too happy about that because now
I had to raise the kids all by myself
and I had no idea what their names were
so I called up my friend, and I told him, I said
'hey man, this happiness thing ain't working out for me'
and he replied
'well, yeah.. I hate to say I told you so'
so we got together and ordered ourselves a couple more drinks
now I'm an old man but not half as bitter as I was earlier
I'm almost turning 26, it's somewhere this spring
I guess there's just not too much more left for me
or that's what my friend told me
I accidentally shot him through the head
last Friday I believe
because of his damn paintings and poems
now I got twice as much more drinks to drink
ain't I a happy fella
Master
Master
I've done it again
Master
Wake up
I've done it again
I found myself a maiden
And I've killed her
I've slain her
I put her to sleep with your poison, master
That's when I took my saw
and sawed off her limbs
That's when I hanged her up the highest tree
And took her down
When she stopped struggling
Master
I've done it again
